Being near the water makes me incredibly happy. It is good for my body, mind and spirit. We made another trip to the river today because I just really needed it and the sun was just begging us to get out and soak in it!
I've got a pretty good system down for all of the meds I have to take every day. It took some time to get used to and things organized but there are all kinds of handy tools and apps to help keep things straight. My labs revealed my potassium is dangerously low so they have added crazy high doses of that until my levels come back to acceptable. I also have several people in my life that know all the nutrition tips and tricks so I've added potassium rich foods and beverages to my meals as well.
I can't remember the last time we had weather this nice in April! I got to spend some time outside in my lovely little haven I have created with my favorite pup and then we ventured out for a quick trip to the river. Days like these remind me how blessed I truly am!
Wow, what an amazing day today! The sun was shining bright and early and I had enough energy to pull around my oxygen tank to hide some treats for the kiddos - they are never too old! I spent some quiet time soaking up the word of the Lord and loved being in His presence on such a special day. We attended the drive-up church service at Kings Way and we were joined by Rochelle and Scotty, which made it even more special. Then they came over and we were able to visit from a respectable distance and masks in place. We had a lovely meal outside and then made a quick trip to the river near our home. The day couldn't have been more perfect.
We have been making some efforts to be more self reliant, contribute to making the world a cleaner place and eat healthier. I ordered a greenhouse that fits nicely on our sunny deck for some delicious veggies and herbs and Alden was kind enough to put it together for us!
With the entire world shut down right now we have all been getting along pretty well without access to someone to cut our hair. Today, between a combination of being stir-crazy and not loving our shaggy look so much, we all tried out my new pair of clippers - And the end results are deliciously hilarious! I took things a step further and tried out some new temporary purple dye, which I wasn't sad about! Mom also got a super cool looking under-shave but sadly I only got video, no stills. But trust me when I say, she is ROCKIN' IT!
My compromised immune system PLUS a global pandemic truly makes it difficult to have visitors. I am so close to my family, it is really painful to not be able to spend time with them face to face and HUG them. Today my beautiful sister stopped by to pick up a journal I had for her to use in Bible Study. And although I didn't get to hug her, it sure was nice to see her lovely face in person! Love you Shell Bell!
It is CA-RAZY the amount of effort that goes into going anywhere these days! Lots of planning and prepping and let me just say I'm glad I upgraded to a larger car when I did! I had a few appointments today and the way the car was packed, you would think we were leaving town for a month! Oh well, just a few more of my new normals. And I have the best travel buddies to assist and keep me laughing!
