I got the call last night!!! They called around 11pm and said they have a donor for both lungs and liver! They asked if I would be interested in heading to the hospital for my transplant, to which I said, I AM ON MY WAY!!!! It was pretty difficult to say goodbye to my kiddos and my pupper. Fortunately, Rochelle was there in a flash so I didn't feel as if I was abandoning them completely. Such a strange feeling to drive away from my home and most of my family knowing how uncertain my future truly is right now. Even if things go smoothly with zero hiccups, I won't see them for about four months! So, leaving was hard. But necessary so I can do what needs to be done in order to live a semi normal life with them. It eases so much heartache knowing they will be surrounded by people I love and who love us too! I know I am leaving my most precious things in the world with some amazingly capable and loving people. Mom and I drove over, leaving the house around midnight. Of course there are no ferries that late so around the Tacoma-narrows we went! They got me into a room quickly to start all the pre-op testing. Plenty if bloodwork, urinalysis, chest x-ray. And now mom and I are taking it easy in the room that will hold us until I get called down for surgery. They were pretty much finished with what they needed by about 4am this morning, we were given the green light to get some sleep before the doctors started arriving around 7am. Guess how much sleep I got? Nada! My mind is racing, emotions all over the place, sleep is the furthest thing frim my mind. So the doctors popped in around 7am. I have had a few people come in for more blood draws and checking my vitals. Other than that, we are just waiting, tick-tock, tick-tock, for the afternoon to arrive so we can meet with the surgeon and get this party started! Please, please, please keep me in your thoughts and pray for a smooth and successful surgery! Ginnie and Rochelle will send updates when they can via my FB and my website. I love you all so much! We got this, my Warriors! We are all smiling but this was by far the most difficult 'see you later' I have ever had to smile my way and hold back the tears through. Settled into the first of what is sure to be many different rooms here at the University of WA Medical Center, Ready to go!!! (I am unable to eat or drink anything until after surgery so this is me drooling over moms breakfast this morning,.,. haha!)

Praying for successful surgery, for angels to guide the surgeons hands, for a great medical care team. Also for your body to accept the new lungs and liver! God be with you now, and all the days ahead! And may He give your family peace and courage.💕✝️🙏
